What is ROLLVENTURE?
ROLLVENTURE helps wheelchair users and disabled travelers research cities before they go. Compare accessibility, living costs, healthcare, transport, local laws, terrain, and weather — then read guides and tips from people who have actually been there. Whether you are planning a trip or choosing your next home base, the goal is to give you honest, practical information in one place.
What can I find on each city page?
Every city has dedicated tabs for Overview scores, a wheelchair-accessibility Guide, Housing, Healthcare, Transportation, Costs, Weather, Terrain & Map, Laws & Rights, Reviews & Corrections, and Community discussion. Use Near and Similar to discover alternatives in the region or cities with a comparable vibe. You can explore all of this without paying — no account required.
How do I search and compare cities?
On the home page, search by city, country, or region, then filter by continent, monthly cost, minimum accessibility score, and quick toggles like flat terrain, smooth pavements, or wheelchair-accessible transit. Sort by overall score, cost, or name to build a shortlist. It is a simple way to narrow hundreds of destinations down to a few worth a closer look.
How do scores, reviews, and corrections work?
City scores blend curated data with community input. Members can vote on overview scores, leave star reviews about their experience, and suggest corrections when a number or description looks off. That keeps the site grounded in real life — not just statistics — and every contribution helps the next traveler make a better decision.
What is the forum for?
The Community Forum is where nomads discuss accessibility, swap travel tips, and ask questions that do not fit on a single city page. Each city also has its own Community tab for local chat. Members can start topics and reply; everyone can read along and learn from the conversation.
Do I need an account to use ROLLVENTURE?
No. You can browse cities, scores, and read forum discussions without signing up. Creating a free account lets you save preferences and prepares you to upgrade when you want full community access.
Why is there a $9 one-time fee? Why not keep the site completely free?
You can use ROLLVENTURE totally free — browse cities, read forums, and explore guides without paying. The one-time Member fee is for people who want to participate: post, vote, review, and message others. It helps keep interactions honest and spam-free, supports moderation, and backs our seals of trust so you can tell who is a real community member. Break the rules and you can lose that status. What is the difference between Free and Member?
Free (signed in) accounts can browse, read forums, and manage their profile. Member is a one-time $9 fee that unlocks voting, reviews, community posts, forum posting, saving favorite cities, suggesting corrections, and direct messaging.
What do the avatar border colors mean?
Avatar rings show participation level at a glance. Gray is Free (browse & read). Green, orange, and purple are all trusted community tiers — Member, Pro merchant, and City Sponsor — each earned through membership and held to the same standards of respect. Full comparison on our Pricing page.
What is Pro membership?
Pro ($19/month) is for merchants and service providers. Pro members can publish up to five promotional messages with links across cities of their choice. Messages appear in the Offers section on city pages. Pro requires an active Member account.
What is Sponsor membership?
Sponsor ($99/month per city) places a featured image, message, and link at the very top of a city page. Only one Sponsor slot exists per city. You can sponsor multiple cities with separate subscriptions. If a city is taken, you can join a waitlist to be notified when it becomes available.
Can my membership be revoked?
Yes. If you post spam, inappropriate content, or violate our Terms & Conditions, we may remove content and revoke Member status. You lose posting access immediately. Pro and Sponsor subscriptions cancel at period end; compliant offers and banners stay until then. You can restore Member access by repurchasing the $9 fee unless permanently banned.
What happens to Pro or Sponsor if I am revoked?
Pro ($19/mo) and Sponsor ($99/mo per city) subscriptions are set to cancel at the close of the current billing period — you keep access until that date. Non-offending Pro offers and sponsor banners remain visible until the period ends, then are removed. If you repurchase Member access before the period ends, you can resubscribe from Account → Billing to keep billing uninterrupted.
What is a permanent ban?
For repeat or very serious violations, we may permanently ban your email address. Banned accounts cannot post, message, or purchase membership. Any active subscriptions end at period end and will not renew. This is described in our Terms.
How do I upgrade or manage billing?
Visit Pricing to compare plans and upgrade. Active subscribers can manage billing through the Stripe customer portal in Account → Billing.
How do I contact support or request features?
Post requests on our feature requests & feedback forum thread — new cities, site improvements, and general feedback are welcome there.
