Canggu accessibility for wheelchair users

Canggu is a surf-and-café district north of Seminyak, known for narrow lanes and scooter traffic. It is **one of the harder Bali areas** for wheelchair users: uneven paths, few kerb cuts, and beach access that changes with tide and construction.

Scooter traffic on narrow roads is constant. **Private driver** from Seminyak, Sanur, or Nusa Dua is more practical than attempting local rideshare. Distances are short by car but tiring and unsafe by chair on main roads.

Mostly **flat** near the coast, but surfaces are **rough** — packed dirt, broken pavement, and sand crossings. Manual chair users will need assistance on many routes.

Nearest major hospitals are in Denpasar (Sanglah, BIMC Kuta). No dedicated wheelchair clinic in Canggu — plan repairs in Denpasar.

Day trip to Nusa Dua or Seminyak— Most visitors using chairs base outings in flatter resort zones and visit Canggu briefly by car for meals.
