Rafaḩ/Rafah is currently not a normal relocation or accessible-travel destination. The DB row shows gentle terrain, costs from ~$3,265/mo, and several OSM healthcare leads, but those numbers cannot capture active-conflict disruption, border restrictions, displacement, damaged infrastructure, or medical shortages. This guide is written for essential humanitarian or family-context planning only. If a person already has reason to be in Rafah, the main accessibility task is reducing exposure: keep trips short, coordinate every movement, and avoid any route that has not been checked the same day by someone on the ground.

Do not assume reliable public transport, fuel, road access, or border movement. The Rafah crossing is a known strategic crossing point, but its status has changed repeatedly during the Gaza war, and movement requires official coordination. Wheelchair users need door-to-door assistance, a backup transfer plan, battery charging contingencies, and current local security information before any movement.
